In addition to our usual array of delicious, locally grown produce, flowers, bread and groceries, Healthy Homes University will be joining us today to share information about how to reduce asthma triggers in your home and to pass out goodies.
2. B&E Alert for Groesbeck Area
Neighborhood Watch has informed us that there have been two day time Breaking and Enterings in the Groesbeck Area. We have a possible description of the accused vehicle: small, tan, four-door vehicle, possibly a Toyota. The vehicle has been occupied by 3 teenagers. Please be on the look out during the day for suspicious vehicles in the area. Please lock your doors and windows. LPD officers in the area have been advised and are stepping up patrols.
3) The Best and the Brightest of 2009: Lansing’s Valedictorians
MSU Community and Economic Development (our ‘institutional neighbors’ in the 1600 block of East Michigan Avenue) invite you to come hear the valedictorians of the 2009 graduating classes speak about their upcoming life transitions and their plans for the future.

4) Note from Fenner Nature Center’s Barb Ringlein, new volunteer coordinator :
We will be having a work day this Sat. 13th devoted to sprucing up the areas adjacent to the center and the front sign by the steps. I will be there from 9:00 am to noon to introduce myself to any willing volunteers. Drop in volunteers for any time they can spare will be appreciated. Coffee and coffee cake provided! Please bring gloves and hand tools if possible. Specific tasks include removal of weeds and some replanting at sign, exposing of boulder wall, clean up of bird seed areas, pruning, general clean up.
