1) Walk On Wednesday
MID-MEAC invites you to come take a walk through a neighborhood with someone who knows it and wants to tell you about it. June 17th 5:30 pm
Meet at Allen St Market (corner of Kalamazoo and Allen St) for a walk with Joan Nelson through the dynamic East Side neighborhood . Sounds like fun! We’ll start at the Market, see some of the renovation activity in the neighborhood, walk a circuit on the wonderful Hunter Park Path and tour the Hunter Park GardenHouse. We’ll have a cooler for you to store your market purchases in during the walk.
No rain dates—bring an umbrella.

2) GLHC Gardens Galore Tour June 27 & 28
When: Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28,
10AM – 4PM each day (rain or shine).
Where: Ten distinguished gardens in greater Lansing.
Cost: $15 (Tickets available now)
Featuring Greater Lansing’s Most Beautiful Gardens
The Gardens Galore Tour is a self-guided tour in greater Lansing, featuring exceptional gardens of every size, shape, and character. This event invites everyone from the novice gardener to the seasoned professional, and is sure to inspire your green thumb.
New Features on the Tour
Gardens Galore Tour 2009 will have “Ask the Garden Expert” and Mini Plant Sales at noted gardens on the Tour. Experts Eric Stinson (Cooley Gardens) and Ann Hancock (MSU’s Judith DeLapa Perennial Gardens) will be available for limited times on the Tour to answer gardening questions. Dickson’s Gold Campanulas and Munchkin Hostas will be available while supplies last at two of the gardens on the Tour.

Tickets for the Gardens Galore Tour are $15 and are available at the following retail locations: Christian’s Greenhouse, Everlastings in the Wildwood, Hickory Corners, Horrocks Farm Market, Mole Hole, Smith Floral and Greenhouse, Wild Birds Unlimited, and the GLHC office located at 1017 West Lapeer Street in Lansing.
