World Day at Hunter Park 2011 is made possible by funding from:
On Saturday, June 11th, 2011 from noon until 8 pm the beautiful, 13 acre gem of Lansing’s Eastside, Hunter Park, will come alive with Musical and Dance Performances from around the Globe, a Food Court with many cuisines, a Global Arts & Craft Fair, a Family Health Walk sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, lots of family & kid’s activities, including free access to the Hunter Park Pool and Splash Pad, and tours and workshops in the Hunter Park GardenHouse. We will also be hosting a youth art project, focusing on world peace and cultural competence.

The Family Fun Walk will reward participants who walk laps around the Hunter Park path with $5 tokens for the diverse array of cuisines at the food court and mini-Allen Street Farmers Market in the Clifford St. parking lot. The Global Arts & Crafts Fair will be shaded by two large tents near Kalamazoo St. We will also celebrate the formal ribbon-cutting for the new Hunter Park Pavilion.
In addition to the activities described above, the City of Lansing Showmobile will showcase a wide variety of cultural performances starting at Noon. Starting at 6:00 two local headliners will take the stage:
