The Allen Street Farmers Market is one of the many treasures contained within the Eastside of Lansing. At the Market you will find the freshest of produce, poultry, breads, and greens. Our local farmers take great pride in their goods and are happy to bring them to the Allen Street Farmers Market.
We would like you meet our vendors by scrolling through the updated photo album which can be found at www.flicker.com/photos. In addition to a brief bio about who you can expect to see at the market!
Green Eagle Farm: Produce ecologically grown! In spring they plant heirloom veggies, greens, basil, garlic, tomatoes, a variety of potatoes, onions, and sweet peppers.
Apply Schram: Located off West Mount Hope Hwy, farmer Jane Bush bought the orchard 17 years ago. Today the farm remains organically run and continues to bring its delectable apple butter, veggies, and applesauce to the market.
Kathy’s Peace Works: Kathy brings her hand crafted jewelry to the market in addition to clay artwork and original magnets. Her crafts make for great gifts!
Hickory Knoll Farms / Touch Of Eden: Hickory Knoll Farm is family owned and operated. This vendor contributes all natural goats milk and hand made soaps which are hand cut from start to finish (not a melt and pour). Soon to come to this vendor’s table is a new flavor of cheese infused with secret family spices.
The Giving Tree: Emily Freech started the Giving Tree to help serve the disabled and their families in the Lansing area. The Giving Tree works with Michigan State University’s Department of Horticulture on organic research projects. The Giving Tree is an equal opportunity employer and seeks to employ interns, students, and the disabled.
Tom’s Farm Produce: This family operation offers a variety of produce including eggplant, squash, cabbage, and watermelon.
The Thao’s: A local family farm that faithfully dedicates itself to producing fruits and veggies of the highest quality. In addition to produce the family also sells fresh cut flowers.
Cookie Hearth: This local baker knows a thing or two about cookies. Her chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and white chocolate chip cookies are some the best treasures you’ll find at the market. At one dollar per a cookie you can not go wrong!
Stone Circle Bakehouse Breads: Kevin is one of our regular vendors. His famous loaves and all natural breads have made him a favorite place to stop for many of our market shoppers.
Trailer Parked Slow Fast Food: Being quite the original dinning on the go experience Trailer Parked is a slow “fast food” vendor. They have a great menu that ranges from chops to salads. This is certainly a pit stop you’ll want to make while touring the market place.
Nightengale Farm: This family owned and operated farm always has a wide selection at their table. Ranging from beets and greens to honey and rhubarb there is always something tasty and beautiful to eat and see.
Herb Girl: Looking for a deal on your herbs… well look no further. This vendor has a variety of whole herb plants for great prices.
Kids Tent: Shopping around the market with little ones can be a handful. To ease your experience the Allen Neighborhood Center sponsors a kids tent. Under supervision by staff or volunteer your kids can color and play while you strollĀ through the market to find great purchases for dinner.
Again, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our vendors who continually come to the Allen Street Farmers Market, the market would not be a success with out you!
