Allen Neighborhood Center hosts two successful youth programs. These programs are designated for different age groups and engage the children of the neighborhood in various ways while strengthening their understanding of community and empowering the Eastside through Edible Park, the Park Cart, and job skill enhancement.

Take Root Garden Club
This is our program for children ages 5-10.  It is a gardening and nutrition education program that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm at the Foster Community Center. During program sessions, members of the club share a healthy snack and participate in lessons and activities that explore food, gardening, plants, and community.

Youth Service Corps
This program is a job and life skills training program for youth ages 11-17. It is free to join, and youth earn gift cards for their service. School year enrollment is limited to 20 youth, so enroll early! If accepted into the program, youth will receive a confirmation from the Youth Programs Coordinator.
