The Allen Neighborhood Center is excited to announce an upcoming Book Swap for our Eastside neighbors! This Book Swap will take place Tuesday, December 3rd, from 6pm-7pm in our Great Room. Refreshments will be available and there is no registration required. How to participate:

• Pick out a book (used or new) that you have read and think one of your neighbors should read. 
• Write a reader’s note in the book, or on a slip of paper to put in the front of the book. This can be about how the book made you feel, where it has traveled, or even an invitation for the next reader to connect with you about their thoughts. 
• Wrap the book to keep it a surprise. We will have sections labeled with different genres to ensure you take one home that is of interest to you.
• Bonus idea: Come up with one sentence that best (or poorly for humorous reasons) describes the book to write on the front of the wrapping paper to clue in your neighbor when it’s their turn to pick.
• Doors open for the event at 6pm, but be sure to have your wrapped book on the table prior to 6:30pm before the swapping will take place. You’ll get a number when you bring your book, to show where you are in the swapping process.
