Did you know over 50% of car seats are installed incorrectly? Motor vehicle injuries are a leading cause of death among children in the U.S., but many of these deaths can be prevented.
To decrease these deaths and injures, Allen Neighborhood Center is hosting an upcoming Car Seat Safety event on Saturday, July 13th from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM! There, you can meet with a Child Passenger Safety Technician, who educates parents and caregivers on how to properly use car seats. CPS
Technicians provide personalized instruction about how to properly install a car seat in a vehicle, as well as how to properly secure a child in the car seat.
This community safety event is free, and includes car seat checks and installation assistance. Car seats may be available to those who qualify; the child must be present to receive one. Walk-ins are available but appointments are preferred. For an appointment, schedule using the link below. For more information please call 517-999-3917!
