Kimchi is a fermented vegetable side dish that has been a staple in Korean cuisine for thousands of years. It is traditionally made with cabbage and/or radish in a salty and spicy mix of seasonings before being buried underground in brine to ferment over the winter. Kim Bays will be joining us in the Maker Kitchen to lead a workshop for you to learn to make kimchi at home (no need to bury your dinner in the backyard).
The Dine & Discovery Series at ANC is generously sponsored by MSUFCU.
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for working in the kitchen. Hair that is shoulder-length or longer needs to be tied back.
If you have any questions about the class or dietary concerns, contact Abie Kopacz at events@allenneighborhoodcenter.org or 517-999-3921 before the start of class.
