Na Zhang of Hong Kong Restaurant will be recreating her popular dish, Mapo Tofu in this workshop. Na is passionate about sharing the recipes taught to her by her family and the chefs that have influenced her culinary career. A staple on Chinese takeout menus, Mapo tofu is a Szechuan dish that originated in China during the Quing Dynasty in the 19th century. It is a savory and comforting meal that packs a little punch with the addition of sichuan peppers. Both a vegan and traditional (pork) option will be available.
The Dine & Discovery Series at ANC is generously sponsored by MSUFCU.
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for working in the kitchen. Hair that is shoulder-length or longer needs to be tied back.
