As part of our IRRC Summer Community Read celebration of When Stars are Scattered, we
invite you to a unique cooking class, designed to foster community connection through
shared experiences and cultural exploration. 
Participants will learn to make sambusas, a
delightful traditional dish from Somalia, connecting the flavors of this vibrant culture to the
themes of resilience and hope in the book. Enjoy an evening filled with cooking, storytelling,
and community engagement.
